I have always believe that Dreams can come through if the dreamer pushes towards the actualisation of his/her dream, and i have come to realise that what brings fulfillment in life is when you are happy doing what you love doing having fun,Many great players are where they are today because they realised their calling to play soccer on time and they made it a part of them until they became successful.
As you prepare to make a career choice in soccer, first you must search your inner mind to see if its really what you want to do and not something that someone ask you to do. So the question now is
1.Do you have a passion to play football? as earlier stated the most important factor of consideration is to have a passion for the game, because it is this love for the game that would sustain you through high and low moments.
2.How old are you now ? This area is crucial and highly sensitive if you must succeed as a football player. You must sincerely answer this vital question with honesty because the career you are about to go into has steps and each step is very important, many who play football in Africa never used their real ages, many find it difficult to even remember their age, Football is time and age,Time in the sence that you catch them young and if well tutored, at the age 17 a football player should have a team where he/she plays proffesionally, So what is your age now and which team do you play for if
you are already 17years?
3.Do you know football inside out? As a player , you must know the game inside out, watch football dvds, have a role model, pratice makes perfect, pratice and perfect on the areas you are good at,eat, sleep, and dream football, let your family and friends know that this who you are, that your life is about football, but remember you need some level of education too, so you can hire a private teacher after pratice if your parents can afford it,always find time to rest and please maintain a high
level of discipline and dedication, No great players ever makes to the top without applying discipline.
Train regularly and dont be scared to get into organised team where a coach can further help build you.
Goodluck.
