Mis-firing Ideye ! Aftermath of Confed Cup

Many misses for a striker !
The confederation cup has come and gone but one thing I believe will ever remain indelible in
the heart of Nigerians is the wasteful attitude of Nigerian strikers in front of goal especially ideye
brown, In all the matches  I saw Nigeria creating more chances and then missing much more chances than they created, In the match against Spain for instance, even though Spain are
rated number 1 in the fifa ranking yet I have never seen Nigeria play so well like they did against Spain soul to speak, many pundits before the game had predicted that Spain will white wash Nigeria with at lest 6goals owing to the fact that Spain is currently world and European champions but lo and behold the reverse was the case and Mikel Obi really showed class in the
heart of Nigerian midfield, If not for defensive error that resulted to early goal and many misses of Brown Ideye, Gambo and Musa. I think the lesson from here is that keshi still needs a world
class finisher, he should put sentiments aside and look for a striker with

1,Clinical ability, sense of urgency, striker who apart from making forward runs who must sometimes play with their back to goal to link play, making themselves available to receive and turn or lay off under pressure and most especially a lead person who is ever ready to shoulder
responsibility not one who makes excuses all the time like Brown ideye and the rest.
Generally speaking I think the team has improved a lot owing to the fact that they have really had a very busy May/June from Germany/Usa/Kenya/Namibia/south Africa and then enroute
Brazil for confederation cup. So overall I rate the team 70 percent even though coach Stephen Keshi still says his team is a work in progress.
