Galatasaray has named Roberto Mancini as their new boss , The Turkish based club had earlier confirmed on sunday that Mancini had met with directors and had met club requirements. The ex-Man City boss will replace Fatih Terim, who was sacked last week after failing to agree a new contract. The 60-year-old, who is also interim Turkey boss, was in his third spell in charge of Gala, having been re-appointed in 2011.
He had also been in charge of the Istanbul side from 1996 to 2000 and then from 2002 until 2004.
On the other hand, City fired Mancini in May exactly a year after he led them to their first Premier League title.
Mancini won three successive Italian league titles and two Italian Cups with Inter Milan, before winning the FA Cup and Premier League with City.
The Italian's first match in charge will be Wednesday's Champions League clash at Juventus.
