Enyimba chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu believes the People’s Elephant will win
the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title this season.
Enyimba are currently in second place on the NPFL log with 59 points from 36
matches.
Two more match days are left to navigate and with the leaders, Kano Pillars
assured of the title if they win their remaining two games, Enyimba chairman,
Anyansi-Agwu is calling on the fans of the club “to believe we can still do it.”
“I have led this club to six league titles in the past so I know what it
takes to win. I am calling on all our fans to believe that we can still do it,”
Anyansi-Agwu told supersport.com in Abuja on Tuesday.
The six-time NPFL kings will face Sunshine Stars in Akure on Wednesday before
rounding off their 2012/13 campaign against Sharks in Aba on the final day of
the season.
The Enyimba chief is aware they no longer have their destiny in their hands
but believes success in the remaining two games of the season will come with
rich rewards.
“If Kano Pillars win their remaining two matches, there is nothing we can do
but in football, you cannot afford to think like that.
“It is never over until it’s over. I have a strong belief that we will win
the title if we get good results in our last two games of the season,” he said.
