FIFA U17 W/C: NIGERIA SPELLS MEXICO WITH GOALS

Kelechi Iheanacho's was the hero of the day as Nigerian under 17 team beat Cup holders Mexico by a 6-1 goal margin . The three time champions played a very good game and deserve to win this emphatically spelling MEXICO in the process. The Mexicans are the defending champions, having won the 2011 tournament on home soil, while the Nigerians are the African runners-up. This result means that Nigeria are currently seating comfortably on top of  group f .

With a half-hour gone, and after a few Mexican half-chances and Nigerians midfield passes display, the Africans quitely settled into their rhythm and that was bad news for Mexico. With 33 minutes gone, the speedy Golden Eaglets were through on a counter-attack. Success Isaac, who seven times in the African qualifiers, raced in and rounded the goalkeeper, pulling the ball back across goal. Kelechi Iheanacho followed the play and produced a clever finish, hitting the ball high into the net to get over a pair of Mexican defenders. It was really a super display from Kelechi Iheanacho as he went on to score three more goals in the 40',49',70 with Chidiebere and Success scoring in 52' ,60' minutes respectively. Mexico managed to pull one back via Ulises Jaimes . The Eaglets will have a date with Sweden in three days time .
