What Keshi's sack taught me.

Indeed , the job of a coach whether football , handball , basketball or even rugby is about hiring and firing . But no one gets fired on the job for good performance , do they ? As I followed millions of football loving Nigeria's on the issue behind Super Eagles recent poor run after the Nations cup triumph( when Keshi was still there anyway)

If you had been following events as regards to this whole saga you would notice that above all PRIDE
was the number one reason for Keshi's outcome . As Austin Okocha clearly stated and I must admit In his word he said and i quote, '' Keshi is never the problem with Nigeria football. Nigeria football died a long time ago''

But my question  is ,how did Nigeria football get here after winning the AFCON ? It is very illogical for one to think that you will continue to progress while others retrogress . Success is achieved under intense hard work and character , there is no short cut, but one must maintain success. It is not a enough to say we are the African champions therefore every other country must respect that, you must work hard to maintain the status.

We are passionate people in Nigeria and football is the only sports that has kept us in unity. Football is not an easy game . There can be incredible pressure especially when you are a leader and it is important to take responsibility when things go wrong.

Keshi had every opportunity to better the game in Nigeria but he choose that part of excuses , he had excuses for choosing un-performing players to inform players. No coach can succeed when you don't welcome constructive criticism , but him every body who sees something from his judgement is an enemy and that was his greatest undoing.

In all I think its a lesson for every one especially for Amodu and co. Nigerians are no fools, never favour an under achiever above an achiever. The only way you can justify that is not in Nigeria football history. We keep producing the best.
