The Nigerian striker wants to leave the Russian Premier League club
Spartak Moscow striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has reiterated a desire to leave the Russian Premier League club, insisting that he is considering returning to Fenerbahce S.K in the near future.
"I love the fans at Fenerbahce because they have supported me in the most difficult time. I know they want to see me returning to my former club but I have a running contract with the Russian outfit.”
“I just read on the Internet that Fenerbahce are interested in signing me but I can tell you that I was only thinking about the African Cup of nations .” The TFF First League winner was quoted as saying.
The 25-year-old forward made these comments despite knowing that the Moscow-based club’s head coach, Valery Karpin, earlier ruled out selling any player during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Emenike is in sphere of returning to his former club and reports in Russian media suggest that the Moscow-based club will only let their prized asset leave Luzhniki stadium this January should they get at least 15 million Euros transfer fee.
But according to Gazeteport, the Turkish club have already started negotiations with Spartak on the transfer of the Big Nigerian.
However, the parties are yet to agree in principal on the price. Red and white are reportedly holding out for a 15 million Euros fee for the player, while Fenerbahce are a little hesitant to pay more than 10 million Euros.
