Injured Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi will be fit in time for the Coppa Italia final against Roma next week Sunday.

Lazio face Roma on May 26, and could do so with the Nigeria international, who picked up a hamstring injury in Thursday’s training.

The Italian club have confirmed that there is “no presence of a muscle or tendon injury. The athlete has started rehabilitation and will be monitored over the next 24,36 hours”.

Lazio face Cagliari in their final league game this weekend, before the cup final next Sunday.

The Rome are gunning to finish higher than their present sixth place so that they feature in next season’s UEFA Europa League.

They could also clinch a Europa League by beating city rivals Roma in Coppa Italia final.

This season, they lost out to Fenerbache in the quarterfinals of the Europa League
