MARTINO AGREES A THREE-YEAR DEAL WITH BARCELONA

BARCELONA
                                   "TATA''  MARTINO
According to reports, Barcelona are set to unveil Gerardo ''Tata" Martino as new coach. The Argentinian who led Newell's Old Boys to the semi-final of Copa Libertadores has agreed to sign a three-year deal to replace Tito Vilanova who resigned recently as Barca coach because of a reoccurrence of cancer that he first suffered in 2011.

Martino who according to Messi is the right man  for the job is likely to be unveiled by the catalan club later this week.
Martino will be accompanied by his normal backroom team, including the assistants Elvio Pautasso and Jorge Pautasso though its not yet clear if Vilanova's assistants , Jordi Roura and the recently signed Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia will continue.

Martino will be the fourth Argentine to coach Barcelona (after Helenio Herrera, Roque Olsen and Cesar Luis Menotti) and links up with fellow Rosario native Lionel Messi.
